TROOP 132

FREMONT, CA

Welcome to Troop 132!

────────

Boy Scout Troop 132 was chartered in 1977 and has been serving scouts in the Fremont, Union City, and Newark area. We are part of the Mission Peak District in the Golden Gate Area Council (GGAC) and are sponsored and chartered by Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (POP).

Our scouts meet at least two times per month. Our Full Uniform (Class A) meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM PST, with Red Shirt (Class B) meetings scheduled for the fourth Monday of each month at the same time (7:00 PM). All troop meetings are held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, located off of Fremont Boulevard at 38451 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94536.  Individual patrols meet at least once per month as well, with the patrol leader in charge of planning, so time and location of these meetings varies depending on patrol. Some leaders prefer to meet at their houses and others choose to meet at POP at the same time as the Troop Committee meets on the third Monday of each month.

Our goal is to foster the BSA vision of building our youth into conscientious, responsible, and productive boys by instilling in them lifetime values and developing ethical character traits as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law. We want to create an environment that fosters a sense of community while keeping the fun in scouting. We constantly stress the importance of following the Scout Motto "Be Prepared." and Scout Slogan "Do a good turn daily."

All of our adult leaders undergo Scouting's Youth Protection Training (YPT) program, so our scouts can be mentored in a safe environment provided by our chartered organization. In addition, we encourage our leaders to attend our meetings to stay up-to-date and informed.

It is our sincerest hope that if you or someone you know is considering becoming involved in Scouting, you will contact one of our leaders. We would love to have you!
